Terms of Service
Last updated: June 16, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Edusum’s websites, applications, and services (collectively, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Who we are
Edusum (“Edusum,” “we,” “us”) provides a universal certification practice platform — practice questions, AI-assisted tutoring, adaptive study tools, flashcards, and scenario simulations — covering certifications from many vendors.
Independence and trademarks. Edusum is an independent study aid. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or otherwise connected to any certification body or vendor. All vendor names, exam names, logos, and trademarks are the property of their respective owners and are used for identification and descriptive purposes only.
2. Eligibility and accounts
- You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country) to use the Service.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information and for keeping your credentials secure.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
- One person may not maintain multiple free accounts to circumvent usage limits.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Scrape, copy, resell, or redistribute our question bank, explanations, or other content.
- Reverse engineer, probe, or attempt to bypass usage limits, paywalls, or security controls.
- Use the Service to build or train a competing product or dataset.
- Upload unlawful, infringing, or harmful content, or misuse the AI features to generate such content.
- Share, post, or sell live exam content in violation of any certification body’s rules — doing so may breach their non-disclosure agreements, and you are solely responsible for such conduct.
4. AI features
Some features use third-party large-language-model providers (currently Anthropic’s Claude and OpenAI) to generate explanations, tutoring responses, and study content. When you use these features, your prompts and relevant context are sent to those providers to produce a response.
AI output can be inaccurate or incomplete. It is provided for study assistance only and is not a guarantee of exam coverage or of a passing result. Always verify important information against official vendor documentation.
5. Plans, payments, and renewals
- The Service offers a free tier, per-exam access (a one-time purchase granting time-limited access to a single exam), optional AI token packs, and Teams plans for organizations.
- Payments are processed by our third-party merchants of record, Gumroad and Lemon Squeezy. We do not store your full payment-card details.
- Per-exam access and AI token packs are one-time purchases — there is no automatic renewal or recurring charge for individuals. Per-exam access lasts for its stated period (e.g. 90 days) and can be renewed manually. Teams plans are arranged separately via sales.
- Prices may change; changes apply only to future purchases.
- Refunds are handled in line with our refund practices and the policies of the payment processor; statutory consumer rights are unaffected.
6. Pass-related offers
Where a specific plan advertises a pass-related assurance, the exact eligibility conditions (such as minimum practice activity and time windows) are shown with that offer and form part of these Terms for users who purchase it. No general guarantee of passing any exam is made.
7. Intellectual property
The Service, including our original questions, explanations, software, and design, is owned by Edusum and protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for your own exam preparation. Content you submit remains yours, and you grant us a licence to host and process it to operate the Service.
8. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or use the Service in a way that risks harm to us or others. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from your profile settings.
9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that using it will result in passing any examination. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Edusum’s total liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
10. Changes, governing law, and contact
We may update these Terms from time to time; material changes will be notified through the Service or by email, and the “last updated” date above will change. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
Questions about these Terms can be sent to support@edusum.com.
